Whether it is modern, classic or industrial: due to the extensive collection, fitting door fittings are always available. Our expert sales team is happy to tell you all about door fittings during your visit to our showroom.
Our history started in 1996. We – Gerard en Ariea ten Hulscher – start our company ‘Ten Hulscher Door & Window Desing’ in the Dutch village Garderen. With the exclusive builders hardware of Mandelli from Italy, a good foundation is laid in the world of door fittings. The products are being sold through our unique Flexible Sales System. It is the starting point for the Ten Hulscher’s business philosophy and the common theme of the company. Later on, the extensive wrought iron collection of Kirkpatrick is added to the collection of Ten Hulscher. A varied range of building hardware emerges. Made of different materials, but always with quality and comfort as a firm basis.
Our first showroom is located at camping ‘De Hertshoorn’ in Garderen: a nice startup. In 1999, we switched to hotel ‘Anastasius’ in the same village. This charming family hotel was once the focal point of an estate with a size of approximately six hectares. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building got its name ‘Anastasius’, named after Dutch church reformer Anastasius Veluanus.
The name of the property stays, even when the family hotel is being converted to a showroom. Because of the beautiful location and the ‘old’ function of Anastasius, we renovate the first and second floor into a hotel section, and two rooms become en-suite. We get to welcome many acquaintances from the world of building hardware. When the number of employees increases, we convert the hotel rooms to office spaces.
In 1999, our private label GPF building hardware is developed. The label produces qualitative door, window and furniture fittings made of stainless steel, wrought iron and aluminium, approved according to EN1906. The sales concept GPF CombiVari gives the customer ultimate freedom to assemble the door fittings of his or her choice. Our GPF door handles and door knobs can be combined with all types of plates and roses in our assortment. Our security fittings can be assembled in the same flexible way. These products meet the strict conditions of Dutch inspection institute SKG and have high burglary protection. The common theme stays: your door fittings, your choice!
Many of our business relations acquainted with our hotel and our showroom over the years. The beautiful building and the lovely wooded area give rest and comfort. Our company is located in the centre of Garderens society. For us, it is essential to be part of the village, for example by organising a bike ride at Pentecost, with accompanying art exhibition in our showroom. We were a part of ‘Garderen Live’ as well, and we organised Christmas concerts in and around our property. From ARVI product – our own marketing, communication and web agency – we shaped the glossy magazine ‘Garderen Gastvrij’ for years, initiated by the entrepreneurial association of Garderen.
Ten Hulscher is a family company. As a family business, we work together with our employees to create the right atmosphere within our companies. There is an open culture, supplemented with a flat structure. Together we develop talents. That is why we welcome trainees and students as well, whether it is on the level of logistics, sales employees or web developers. Some of them even kept working for our company after their traineeship.
